Here are some examples of my work in traditional media. I enjoy all types of illustration, from pencil sketches to ink washes. Some of these works are academic to demonstrate training in fundamentals. Other works are my own to demonstrate my interest as a hobby and to show some depth in content and media.

  • Victorian Ink Drawing

    Victoria - This image is ink pen on poster board. The original is large scale 20 x 20. The work was originally an academic project that ended up framed and matted as fine art.

  • Pencil crosshatch light study.

    Tea Time - Academic pencil drawing on illustration board. This drawing is a still life study demonstrating lighting fundamentals and crosshatching techniques.

  • Chalk and charcoal still life drawing.

    Still - This work was a 3-day academic study of light and dark. I payed special attention to reflected light and rendering textures. Media was charcoal and chalk on colored paper.

  • Sketchbook character drawings.

    Sketchbook - These are just a few random character concepts from my personal sketchbooks. Drawing is a my hobby as well as my chosen profession. These are ink and pencil drawings on a variety of paper.
