3D Modelling & Animation

Here are some examples of modelling and animation. I used Newtek's Lightwave 9 for modelling and animation of these works. Included here are still frame renders of these animations. These were created as part of my Digital Design Program coursework at Pierce College, Washington. Quicktime movies are also included for the animations.

  • 3D Mech animation.

3D Mech - This was my final project in college 3d Animation using Lightwave 9. I chose to model a mechanical humanoid to demonstrate walk-cycle animation. I also experimented with the popular cel-shading technique to create a cartoon styled rendering.

  • 3D Snake Animation.

3D Snake - This model shows cartoon styled modelling with use of bump textures and displacement maps. The animated snake uses inverse kinetics and bone chains for the animation. Modelled using Newtek's Lightwave 9.

  • 3D Pirate Animation.

3D Pirates - This rendering was a lesson in Soft Cloth Dynamics. I also experimented in special effect techniques using animated displacement maps to create realistic water and waves. Modelled in Lightwave 9.
